I passed LTVL test.STA inform me to be notified collection of TVL licence by LTA within 1month .What can i do in this month?Can i connect CFG to be partime drive if I have not hire? Or ,i must wait 1month ,then collection TVLLicence, after that look for hire, then go to CMFG? anybody help me?thanks lot.

License still not issued what, you cant drive taxi. Anyway got many years driving ahead of you, enjoy this moment doing other things

If you dun mind, this month me got lobang at Chinatown to sell CNY goodies, but paid damn low, food included.

this month is CNY, alot of shops and companies sure want to hire staff during this period. you can call employment agencies and tell them you are looking for temp work during this 1 month.

Before you got your TVL licence, there 1 thing you must do. Take Taxi more often, let the TD Chauffeur you, before you chauffeur pax as your career.

Take this time study more .... those syllabus u studied , not enuf .
Study what ?
eg where is those CBD boundary ... what price for ERP ?
What's those timings for ERP ?
Then where is MBS ? Where is RWS ?
Where is Raffles Quay ?
Where is Marina Bay Financial Centre ?
Many more .... but mostly , on the job , then u will know more , but the software must be there lah .....

also spent about 30mins daily to look through those expressways. Like Pie , where is the starting point and end point ? Tuas > upper jurong > pioneer north > jalan bahar > corporation road > bukit btk rd > toh guaj rd > bt btk east ave 3 > etc homework. Its all in my head. This is neccessity softwares . I teach u no point one . but when u glance thru , once enuf , effective permanently.

I think taxi companies or LTA do provide these on those self service counter ..... Go get one and study a bit , no need study by hard lar . Just take and anaylse why A01 ? Why E01 ? Why C01 ? And while glancing , visualise those areas ... Like A01 Lucky Plaza , next ? A02 Paragon , A03 Mt E , etc .... the A's keep going down Orchard Road . Then Why B ? Boundary of Bugis , so u visualised the Bugis boundaries . Where C ? And so on .... This lesson is million dollar lesson , hahahahahah

in short , taxi drivers must know taxi stands lar , a MUST . HDB area no need study lar , no strict rulings . CBD ruling no.1 : Cannot pick and alight passengers anywhere , except regulated taxi stand . This rule by right we must follow , by left , up to individual to take risk . I on the bola one , i dun want to say good bye to my money , that's $130 fine i think .

Your situation is exactly the same as mine two years ago. Waiting for TVDL before CNy and later LTA give us the license inside a red packet :)
When unker Poolman say, you should pay attention, even though he had said it for one thousand two hundred and thirty forth time. First one to learn is the CBD and expressway exits.
I think for new cabbies, it will take around two weeks to learn all the expressway exits. Then take another two to learn the major roads in the housing estate (eg, AMK Ave1/3/5/6/8/10, etc). After that maybe a few more weeks before learn the smaller streets (eg, AMK St 11/21/31/41/51/61, etc).

Just add a couple minor things,
If you cannot wait then call LTA, STA, your instructor, etc to expedite the license. 1 month is quite a long time, unless you have time to wait.
In the meantime, go through this forum to decide which company you want to drive for and which shift you want (day or night). If you want to OMO, please make sure you go interview with unker Pool first.
Also learn tricks how to get hirer (can go through company, or put paper with your contact on cabs parked near your block, or through the web, etc)

while waiting for your licence to be issue, spend some time read thru this taxi forum and you can learn a lot too. took me a year to finish up. hehe
