Smell inside cab

the smell of cab driver drinking kopi is pungent. the driver hang the plastic kopi at the indicator there, can see it hanging there.
I can understand why some drivers insist on passengers boarding the cab, to put their durians at the back.
is it ok for driver to drink kopi inside cab? also if they left it there, wouldnt the kopi would have turned cold already by the time they drink it? worse is the kopi in the plastic and drop it, wouldnt it be a diaster, the mess at the driver seat there?

Then what happens if taxi driver has used perfume? Pungent also what. Or some air freshner. 1 man's perfume is another man's poison. Coffee is a legitimate smell, air-conditioned malls have coffee clubs, the airport has coffee stalls, but will the airport or malls allow you to bring in durian? Or even buses and trains, you can carry your drink in, but you aren't allowed to consume it.
There should lie your answer. If you don't like the smell, alight and take another one, of course you would have to pay for the fare. Or like everyone here would suggest, get your own vehicle, drive yourself or get a driver, then you can implement any rule you like.
And why should you worry if his coffee spills, it's not you who's gonna clean it.

haha ok. I have not encountered any TD with perfume yet lol, never mind the smell. even with ladies TD, no perfume smell so far. If I do encounter one, how? I dunno, depending on that situation.
the coffee smell ride was long ride, not like a short trip. I find the smell awful shortly after boarding. I encountered a few times liao. next time, if I smell one, I will immediately alight and take next cab.

I don't think any TD will allow durians in their taxis.
I definitely will REJECT.
As for the smell, you may alight to take the next one or wind down the window.

not all, but some will. I remembered once or twice, I have bought durians at Aljunied. I told the TD if I need to put the box of durian at the trunk, he said no need, but open up the window throughout the journey. I was very surprised.

I wonder is this true, when no passenger, cruising around, fart and there will be a passenger flagging at the road side.

I once fetch 3 angmo gals from Fullerton Hotel to MBS.
Just a very short trip but almost got choke by their perfume, so dam fucking strong.
Got the urge to wind down the window for some fresh air.
Once they got out, straightaway, wind down all my window.
When the next pax got in, I ask if they can smell anything and they said they thought it's my air refresher, very strong and herbal.
3 other trips and still can smell.

I don't know about you guys, but I get sick just smelling the natural perfume of some cars.... really nausea- provoking and unpleasant.

Buy those aerosol freshener spray type. Got smell just spray under the glove compartment then the air con will draw the spray out from below the blower to your air con vent. Very fast and effective.

u seem to have great disdain for coffee in general, hence yr description of it being pungent. honestly, this is the first time in my entirety that i hear someone saying this haha..
yr question of whether is it ok for TDs to drink coffee inside cab is bothering infringment of freedom. wat i interpret is that u disappove and feel TDs shouldnt do that. i suspect paxs these days are expecting to much from a TD, this cannot that cannot...........
let me cite an example.... say if u're a hot choc lover and put a cup of it on yr desk and yr boss dislike the smell and ask u to stop drinking it in office. How do u feel? hot choc smells nice right?? wat's wrong??
