Online gaming

  Hello everyone, I would like to know the positive and negative impact of online gaming that would have on youths.

  From research I have found, it could lead to social isolation, addiction and even violence. Also, responsibilities of gamers will be affected. Last but not least, health issues may occurs. Is it true?

The younger generation is growing up in the culture where gaming is part of their lives. With gaming set to grow even further, it only serves to have a greater influence on society.

  Also, with the increased number of violent games like GTA, violence is pegged to gamers who play such genre of games. It is also widely believed that gaming leads to a lack of social activities and the neglect of work because of game addiction.

  Firstly the time spent on face to face interaction decreased as most teens spent their free time sitting infront of the computer and play online games. Pysocological problems such as depression, difficulty in work and relationships, and being disconnected from reality begins to develop. Similarly,
  
  teens also spent lesser time reading and doing their homework; they are more likely to scrifice their education or work.

  Lastly, it sure have an impact of health issues as gamers sit for many hours in front of their computer hence they tend to skip meal and skipping sleep.

  However, it can actually widen their social circle when communicating with others through games.
