I Like the normal ones not some fanciful new stuff they create over the years.
Same here. Pure lotus with no yolk is my eternal favourite.
Those spanking new flavours couldn't seem to get the green light from my stringent taste buds.

Yup I love the lotus paste with or without yolk.
I almost got a stroke when I tried one horrible one in Phuket last year. This friend kept insisting I must try this top notch stuff. Yes very ex but taste horrible to me with that much of nuts and dried fruits. Where is the lotus paste?

Haha... I dun eat the yolks.
I also dun like nutty and fruity mooncakes. Mooncakes should be delectable and easy to chew and swallow. But have to eat in moderation though. Heard that it's another 1000-calorie bomb.
I think the best is to eat it in small portions to savour the taste, just as how we takes sips of wine.

I usually cut into 8 pieces, probably not more that half mooncake a day.
Good that it's only one month a year.

Exactly. I take 1/8 of it most of the time. 1/4 is when I am feeling hungry.
It's good to keep it to just once a year.
But I think the Chinese got too many festivals so actually it's almost a monthly affair.
