It was published in The Washington Post yesterday, and today in Straits Times, on the grim effects of Bisphenol A (BPA) on humans. BPA is also a main ingredient in the plastic we know as polycarbonate, which is present in most household items such as the baby feeding bottle, Nelgene water bottles, and yes, the Piao-I vessels.
The extent of damage on long term imbibing of polycarbonate is still being examined, but it might do us good to stay away from these items, and use cold water in our Nalgene bottles instead of hot water...
