Authentication of a Puerh Tea

Thanks to our tea kaki Mr. Calligrapher Tan, we may have unearthed the "secret" of telling whether a piece of puerh is real or fake.
When I say fake. I refer to counterfeit puerh using non tea leaves as ingredient.
As I type, my tea kaki is conducting the experiment to verify the reliability of the experiment methodology and to check the results again. If it is proven, we may never be cheated again.....muahahahahaha!!!
Even if we cannot test drink the tea. Think about it.

Hiyah, he is one of the regulars at the shop. BTW, the experiment is still underway.
I have also tried it. Select the stalks from a tea cakes and burn the stalks with a cigarette lighter. If the stalk is from the tea plant, the burning smell is quite pleasant. If it is not, it will not smell very pleasant; in fact dpwnright awful. Guess the smell of the tea oils makes a difference.

You mean if the burnt stalk smells like tea-smoked duck it is the real thang; but if it smells like the tang-ki medium burnt the charm and mix it in water for you to drink type then it is bad? :"D
