I wan to learn how to draw...anyone can give some idea on wat to draw for a beginner?More specific as in more detail..draw like a human bt not a stick man.can intro some sites?

Practice makes perfect.
So grab a sketch book, and draw wadever u see.
Then u will slowly improve.

Draw simple things...like apple, mug...
Try to find the shading, lighting, contours...
Start simple...add in the details...
Sketch first...painting/colouring can come later

I used to draw a lot more in the past than now. ... I really lost touch liao. I look at some of the old drawings... I wonder how I did them

Haha same here...i can't draw that well anymore i don't know why....maybe it required some passion and interest...or mood perhaps?

hey i was from an art school, and if ur talking bout pencil drawings, its bout how u condition ur mind. u are used to writing and listing things with a ball point pen, it is not easy to pick up a pencil again to start drawing, id suggest u start to practice ur linework all over again, start drawing those "5 mins picture" look at the object, not on ur paper, do a quick sketch first. pay attention to ur lines, draw with dark/light/thin/fat lines, make sure theres variations. and then look at the object again, take another 5 mins to do quick shading. keep practicing and u will get there.

hmmm...dun need passion la, coz seriously, art is not a very feasible career choice. maybe if u have an interest, start drawing and its a great way to pass time and a very cool hobby.
learn how to paint too! its so much fun :)

I enjoy drawing too...
You need to know a few things: What do you wish to draw? Human, lifeform, or objects, or products, scenary, anime...????
Drawing is a basic human capability but not many develop that aspect of their natural talent. The essence is to replicate what you see onto the paper.
One basic step is to practise basic 2-D shapes like a circle, a square, a triangle, etc...once you have practise doing that freehand without using a ruler or compass, Try to combine those basic shapes to form a secondary 2-D objects e.g. an ice-cream on a cone (one circle and one triangle)!
Next, by usig shadings and/or curve lines, turn a 2-D object into 3-D! Cube is the easiest, follow by cone and then Sphere.
Once you can do that, you can draw your ice-cream in 3-D!
Everything in life is made up of those basic shapes. Learn to 'see' it and break it down.
Other skills includes learning proportion, perspectives, contrast, etc...
Keep a sketch pad and a 6B with you all the time man!
