  Sometime life isnt juz so simple, often then not, it involve more then juz the couple.... and most of the time, that troublesome wedding dinner is there to please both party parent. After all, they did raise both them up, and in return for their hardship, what is one night of torture, lack of romance, etc compare to it. If that is wat make our parent happy, I am more then willing to do it.
  
  Since my future wife is going to be with me for the rest of the life, I am sure I can make up to her with plentiful of romance and love in time to comes. When one is in love, everyday is honeymoon!!!!

  The other day got one program on TV (in Japan) that if Foreigners want to marry a Ger from Turkmenistan you must pay about S$70,000 but I am not sure if it is to the girl's family or the garmen.And you thought paying COE was rediculous?

  A marriage is the union of 2 families. It was never juz the couple. I've seen too many couples have disputes during the planning of their wedding.
  
  It's tedious and really straining physically & mentally.
  
  Luckily for me, my parent are very liberal about my wedding (if I ever have one). No banquet. Juz spend the money on the solemnisation and honeymoon, and the new apartment. LOL
  
  I'm so blessed to have my parents.
