Singapore should not build the casino

casino main point is gambling. gambling needs $$. gambling is addictive. i have seen many results of hardcore gambling. not a good sight. gambling can cause the richest man to be a pauper withing days. watched the gambling show made in sg. a young guy around 20 years old, have enough $$ to retire at that age, but due to gambling, he lost it all. they say gambling out of 10 times win 1 time only. not true. as u will win lesser than that. when u gamble, even if u have no $$, u will find money to gamble. and they always have the mentality that they can win, which will cause them to lose more. so i say, if casino is build in sg, sg will see the increase of rich men turn poor.

but i hate the excuse from government dat building casino is for the benefit for singapore, so dat singapore can earn a revenue n have many future reserves. but the real fact is building IR is to keep the government's pocket fat!

singapore's tourism has lost its attention and shown declining in some statistics.
Right now by building amusement park may not attract many tourists to come. So a IR will attract more pple, the amusement part will only act as dessert while the main course is still casino. building casino will also gain attraction from foreign investment such as genting organisation.
Our governments are sly enough to see this opportunity to earn big revenue. Whether or not it is against ethic is another story. -
A casino may not necessarily be a soial ill. Even if there's no casino in Sg, Singaporeans can and will still go to countries with casinos to gamble. Might as well we build them and earn revenue from Singaporeans and tourists alike.
Same principle applies to Geylang wad. Having the red light district diesn't neceesarily mean that all men will become sex-crazed ma...........

i remembered they stated that under 21 are not allowed to watch restricted movie. But there are alot of pple sneaked in without their ic being checked.
how r the measures effective if everyone r stop by ticket attentants to have their records check? tis is indeed questionable. -

Yesterday in the news, I heard one of the ministers(?) say.. "Don't care about who's earning more $ and who's earning less $ now... We should be more FOCUSED on building Singapore's future... Think about who's leading you now....." (or something like that) I ALMOST LAUGHED MY HEAD OFF....
SAME OLD THING as what they said during the ELECTION... We wanna be more FOCUSED with helping people find their jobs... Which in the end, they just told people it's their own job to upgrade themselves and find job... How convenient? -

but dat is not likely to happen as records shown dat all casinos make lot of money. Au-Men recovered back its capital and investment cost within less than half-a-year. A desert state like Texas transformed to a busy city becos the casino is imposed. The native-americans were employed and became card-dealers in casinos.
This has really shown why the MIW are so tempt to earn this kind of money as the benefits have shown. -
