  ok... i just did an illustration, shown below.

  Set your text above all other graphical effects.
  
  That, or move your text, such that it would not be covered with the fragrance.
  
  I would suggest moving the text, such that the word "Fragrance" is closest to all the illustration for the fragrance is. I.e. all the waves.
  
  The colours here seemed very dull - perhaps give it some shine?

  Don't save it as JPEG. Otherwise all your layers will be gone and the art piece will be destroyed. Save as GIF or PNG. Also, colours are compressed in JPEG...

  i save my works in jpeg. maybe cause i do vectors. then again...

  Layers are all gone whether you save in JPEG, GIF or PNG.
  
  Layers are inner clockworks of Photoshop, and is only saved in PSDs. Though, PNG supports alpha transparency, thus it has -one- editable layer when you open it in Photoshop.
  
  Also, yes, colours are compressed in JPEG. But as compared to GIF, JPEG wins it in richness of colours.

  then, do you think the piece is too bare? i somehow feel that the bottom left hand corner is unbalanced...

  well the contrast between the BG and the text. and the BG and those waves could be altered abit. like what binary said. make it glow. or brighten it. and the text could be shifted to the bottom right? the bare areas could be filled with smaller versions of the flower.
