The god hypothesis is made to answer the uncertainties people faced in life... the fear of becoming nothingness in death... It's simply a desperate fight against mortality and finiteness

What evolutionary advantage does religion afford the human species that it has endured to our modern age and is so entwined with our history? Any idea that did not befit survival would have been weeded out very quickly as it's followers would have quickly died out.
