What is the point of religion (or none) for you anyway?

If you claim to be a "thinker" please tell me what you think or Buddhism or Christianity or some other religion of your choice? I need a detailed commentary. I do not want some shallow quotes. This might be interesting for you, "I AM" being the primal, primordial reality of Descartes, that all religions - hindu, christian, muslim, taoist, etc etc, and all mystic traditions, and vedanta (hindu non duality) talk about.
(Though in Buddhism we are still more advanced than that, because 'I AM' still fall into the fault of the duality of eternalism and nihilism, there is not necessarily the insight of true non duality which Ken Wilber did mention later as well)

Pretty much the same way as Eric Cartman did Nah, just kidding. I became a Buddhist at two years old when I took refuge.. became more interested about 3, 4 years ago and thats when I started to visit my dharma center regularly. -

So is sleeping or waking up your meditation? And what kind of insights? Buddhist insights doesn't mean suddenly understanding things or how things work.. it's not knowing something new or suddenly making sense of things mentally/conceptually.Originally posted by Eric Cartman:Sleeping is my meditation.
