I went to T3 today..**WARNING: PICS INTENSIVE**

  Has anyone read the The Straits Times (21st Nov) forum page today? Somebody complained about the sucky T3 viewing mall!
  
  Now let's see what has the CAAS has got to offer as an explanation. I can already foresee their reply Here it goes:
  
  I refer to ' this' letter dated 21st Nov, We are sorry to hear about your disapointments about our viewing mall in our brand new Terminal 3. The external panels are for keeping the interior cool and protect both the public and transit passengers alike from the glaring rays of the sun. Due to our poor design taste, we forgot about the viewing mall. But due to the already expensive cost of building the new terminal, we have decided not to remove the panels. We hope you can understand our sorry plight.
  
  The management of Civil Aviation Authrority Of S'pore.
  
  I know this letter of mine sounds a little corny, but well, you get the idea.
  
  Now, if this kind of reply was given by the CAAS, we would not be seeing CAAS the next day, it will be torn down by protesters. Complains will always get slipshot answers by the management/authority. Sad but true. So i don't expect much from the CAAS if they (ever) reply this complain.

  Good News! a recent reply by CAAS via ST Forum - they are going to remove the obstructing sun-shades at the T3 viewing mall soon.

  Yes, i read that piece of article. BUT! They are saying that they are removing SOME of it. Wonder how many is 'some'? Hope it is enough to let me see the runway which is impossible to see currently.

  there are definitely other cooling methods what... why sacrifice visibilty... Me went to T1 transit area and the windows are tinted but at least is much better
