  Alphabets 'L' and 'T' are a distance apart on the keyboard.
  
  From what I know, pitot tube is an instrument used to measure the airspeed of an aircraft. So maybe there's a relation to why Pitot choose it as his nick.

  The pitot is linked to the ASI (Air Speed Indicator) of an aircraft. It is dependent on dynamic (moving) air pressure.
