Sir Alex Ferguson was pleased with Manchester United's second half display against lowly Watford.
The Red Devils only led by a Cristiano Ronaldo penalty at the half, but pressed home their advantage after the interval.
Ferguson felt United's finishing was sloppy before Lloyd Doyley's own goal finally ended any hope of a shock Hornets leveller.
"I'm satisfied," said the Scottish tactician. "They've had a hard season Watford, so it's understandable they've tried to play like that.
"We had some careless finishing after half-time. That can be frustrating. 1-0 is not a healthy scoreline.
"I've given O'Shea and Heinze, Richardson, Silvestre some playing time.
"We have a good squad and when it comes to April and March they'll play their part."
Ferguson stated he was looking to make a signing in January, believed to be Owen Hargreaves, but is happy to contest the Premiership title with their existing squad.
"We'd like to have had one in, but it was not to be," he continued. "There's nothing happening in January, so we'll carry on with the players we've got."
