Peter Taylor has relinquished his role as coach of the England Under 21 team.
Taylor had been combining the post with his duties as manager of Crystal Palace, but feels he is no longer able to juggle the demands of the two positions.
In November, he was forced to miss the Under 21s' friendly against Holland to concentrate on his commitments with Palace.
His decision means The Football Association is now looking for a coach to lead the youngsters at the European Under 21 Championship in Holland in the summer.
Reports have suggested the likes of Steve Round, Stuart Pearce and Steve Tilson are under consideration by The FA.
When Taylor skipped the autumn match with Holland, Sammy Lee took caretaker charge and he has previously admitted he would be interested in the job, if it became a full-time post.
Lee is currently Sam Allardyce's assistant at Bolton Wanderers, but could be tempted by the Under 21 job.
Taylor was in his second spell in charge of England's youngsters after returning to the role in 2004, having previously been in control between 1996 and 1999.
