Gianluca Zambrotta has admitted that he is still adapting to the Spanish league and believes that Barcelona have not yet seen him at his best.
The Italian defender joined Barca during the summer from Juventus and has become a regular in Frank Rijkaard's side.
As the team struggles to pull itself out of a poor run, Zambrotta believes that he is close to recovering the form that made him one of the best full-backs in Serie A.
“It is not always possible to play well," he said.
"The important thing is the mentality and I believe that on Tuesday against Alaves our mentality was correct and now we need to rediscover the concentration and positive, winning mentality we had before.
Zambrotta is also hopeful that Barca's Copa del Rey triumph against Alaves will go some way to boosting morale at Camp Nou.
Reflecting on the Blaugrana's recent form, Zambrotta is hopeful that the 3-2 victory on Tuesday will help restore confidence at the club.
"I believe that at the moment we are not in particularly good form," Zambrotta continued.
"It is a passing thing but on Tuesday I think we rediscovered the right mentality and we have to maintain this ahead of SundayÂ’s game."
