Stuart Pearce feels Micah Richards is only scratching the surface of his potential.
Despite being just 18, Richards has taken to life in the Premiership with remarkable ease and is now a key figure for Manchester City.
It is not surprising that Richards' progress has been monitored by some of the Premiership's bigger hitters and he has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea.
Richards went some way to easing the fears of City fans by pledging his future to the club and Pearce feels the Eastlands faithful will see the player blossom into a real star.
"He's just a baby, he really is," Pearce said on Sky Sports News. "He's built like a man, he looks like a man but he is just 18.
"He has so far to go as a player it is incredible and I take that as a compliment.
"We feel he has done extremely well, we fast-tracked him to the first team and his abilities fast-tracked him as well.
"It is down to him now. To get into the England team was incredible and I feel there is a lot more to come from Micah."
