Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o feels like a footballer again after returning to training following a four-month injury lay-off.
Eto'o has made a quicker than expected return from a damaged meniscus he suffered in late September and is delighted at being able to train once more.
The Cameroon international was initially presumed to be out for five months, though, and the player is wary of rushing himself back too soon.
"I have to take care of myself. Coming back too soon and hurting myself again within two or three weeks would be useless," Eto'o told Sport24.
"So I will make my return step-by-step, but I am very happy to be back training.
"I am not used to long-term absences, but the weirdest thing has been to put on my training top - it made me feel that I am a footballer again."
Eto'o has been impressed by the form Barca have shown in his absence and believes a shock defeat to Espanyol last weekend will not derail Frank Rijkaard's team.
"I think that I have missed my team-mates more than they have missed me," added Eto'o.
"They have done very well. The defeat against Espanyol is not a problem, the league is long and we have to be focused."
