Craig Bellamy feels the reaction to Liverpool's cup defeats has been over-the-top.
Arsenal knocked The Reds out of the FA Cup with a 3-1 victory earlier this month and crushed them 6-3 in the Carling Cup quarter-finals just three days later, with Anfield staging both games.
Liverpool's performances have come under fire and Rafa Benitez has been heavily criticised for his team selection, but Bellamy believes there is little cause for concern.
Bellamy has been pleased with Liverpool's Premiership form over the last month or so and is confident his team-mates will put the disappointment behind them.
"People quickly forget how well we have done in the league recently," said Bellamy, who has helped Liverpool win seven of their last eight Premiership games.
"We have only lost once in 11 games and although it's not good to lose to anyone, it was Arsenal who beat us and they are a top side - they're not mugs.
"There are certain people who always like to whip it up after a defeat. Whenever we lost at Newcastle it was similar.
"People learn quickly to just think about the next game and make sure they perform as well as possible."
