Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs says Sir Alex Ferguson has been the biggest influence on his career.
The Wales international's distinguished career was celebrated by the Football Writers' Association on Sunday, with the 33-year-old now second in United's all-time appearance list with 693 games to his name.
After making his debut with The Red Devils, Giggs says the desire to succeed at Old Trafford remains with him.
"The boss has been a massive influence on my career, probably the biggest influence," Giggs told Sky Sports News.
"As long as I keep my fitness, the challenge is there, the desire is there and I enjoy my football - if all those things are in place, I want to carry on as long as I can.
"You look at the likes of Teddy Sheringham, Gary Speed - still playing in the Premiership and playing well.
"Players look after themselves a lot more and can go on that bit longer."
