David Beckham will continue to give his 'full commitment and professionalism' to Real Madrid despite Fabio Capello's declaration that he will no longer be considered for selection.
The former England captain will move to America at the end of the season after signing a five-year deal with LA Galaxy.
He has played very little for Real since Capello took charge at the Bernabeu and the Italian believes there would be no sense in picking him now.
Capello said Beckham would continue to train with Real but would not play, as he could no longer 'be counted on'.
But Simon Oliveira, Beckham's representative, has insisted that his client will give everything for the club until he leaves.
"As far as David is aware he has a contract for the remainder of the season and remains dedicated to the club and its supporters," said Oliveira.
"David is surprised at the quotes from Fabio Capello and nobody from the club has informed him of their intentions.
"He will continue to give his full commitment and professionalism to the club."

MLS to try for Becks release
Major League Soccer have confirmed that they will look to bring David Beckham to America before this summer, after it was confirmed he will not play for Real Madrid again.
The former England captain confirmed this week that he had agreed terms on a five-year deal with Los Angeles Galaxy, and that he would join them when his current contract at the Santiago Bernabeu expired.
However, his future took a fresh twist on Saturday when Real coach Fabio Capello revealed that he would not pick the Englishman again.
Now MLS have admitted that Capello's stance is 'sure' to prompt a move from Galaxy to try and get Beckham freed in time for the start of the new American season - which begins in mid-April.
"I'm sure Alexi [Lalas, president] or Frank Yallop [head coach], when they hear about this, I'm sure they will try to bring him over as quickly as possible," said MLS spokesman Stephen Rodriguez
"It would be in AEG [club owners] and LA Galaxy's best interests to buy out the rest of his contract.
"If it were just a case of buying out his contract then absolutely, they would do it."
