Bolton are reportedly ready to rekindle their interest in Spanish defender Cesar.
Sam Allardyce is a known admirer of the 29-year-old having twice pursued his signature in the past.
A move to The Reebok Stadium fell through last January, but Allardyce did not give in and tried to lure him to Bolton in the summer.
However, Cesar opted to remain in Spain and joined Levante after his contract with Deportivo La Coruna expired.
The stopper has struggled to make an impression in Lopez Caro's side and The Trotters are once again keeping tabs on his situation.
According to Radio Esport, Bolton officials are in Spain trying to thrash out a deal that will see Cesar join for a fee in the region of €1.8million (£1.2million).
