The wet weather has put paid to St Mirren's hopes of entertaining Motherwell on Saturday.
Love Street underwent an inspection at 10am and although the majority of the pitch was playable, the ball would not bounce in one area and the referee had no option but to call off the contest.
With rain forecast for later on Saturday it was decided to call the match off. No date has yet been set for the fixture to be rearranged.
More positive news in Scotland was that Rangers' clash with Dundee United survived a pitch inspection and goes ahead as planned.
