Andy Webster's loan move to Rangers has quickly soured after the player's agent confirmed the Wigan defender has been ruled out for six weeks.
Since arriving in the Premiership from Hearts, Webster has suffered with injury and Wigan allowed him to move back to Scotland for more regular football.
However, on his first training session at Ibrox the 24-year-old suffered medial ligament damage, endured when tackling a new team-mate.
Webster's agent, Charles Duddy, explained the extent of the injury: "Andy had a scan yesterday and it showed that he has moderately strained his ligaments.
"He will be out for six weeks. It could have been worse but it is still six weeks.
"But he is in the best hands now."
