Blackburn are ready to hand a new contract to in-form midfielder David Bentley.
The England Under 21 star has impressed hugely since moving to Ewood Park from Arsenal last season.
Now with rumours that Manchester United are taking an interest, Rovers are ready to extend his deal - which still has two years left to run.
Rovers boss Mark Hughes has denied receiving any offers for Bentley and admitted he was looking to tie him to a new deal.
"I am not aware of any bids for David, but he has done very well for us this season and I am looking to improve with his current situation," said Hughes.
"He is a young player with a lot of talent and has just got to keep going now.
"But I think he knows that we're the right place for him at this time in his career and I enjoy working with him."
