Tottenham star Hossam Ghaly has cleared Noe Pamarot for the challenge which saw him lose four teeth.
Pamarot challenged Ghaly during Spurs' Premiership clash with Portsmouth last week - and the Egyptian came off the worst with a series of nasty facial injuries.
Spurs coach Martin Jol was not happy with Pamarot, but Ghaly insists the Frenchman was not to blame.
"I think Pamarot didn't mean to do me any harm," Ghaly told FilGoal.
"At first, I didn't realise how serious the injury was but then I demanded Martin Jol replace me.
"This is not the first time I lose teeth, it happened to me before with my former Dutch team Feyenoord in a league clash against Ajax."
