Gianluigi Buffon's agent has confirmed that Juventus will not stand in his way if he asks to leave the club.
The Turin giants are battling to gain promotion to Serie A at the first time of asking after being demoted in the summer for their part in the Italian refereeing scandal.
Many players including the likes Patrick Vieira, Fabio Cannavaro and Gianluca Zambrotta all accepted moves away from the club - but a host of top names such as Buffon, Alessandro Del Piero and Pavel Nedved stayed on.
Now although Buffon is enjoying life in Serie B - his representative Silvano Martina admits his charge is seriously considering his options as he hankers for top-level football including UEFA Champions League action.
"The relationship between us and Juventus is so friendly that I am sure that if Gigi were to decide that he wants to move to another club, the management would consider this possibility serenely," said Martina told GRT.
"In any case, I don't see any movements in the near future. What I can say is that we have scheduled a date to meet and talk with the club's management.
"We need to evaluate Juve's future, as well as Gigi's. He is only asking for a top-level team - the current one is strong but only in Serie B.
"To return to be as competitive as in the past, Juve need to sign another five or six quality players."
Internazionale, who grabbed Vieira and Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Juve in the summer, are heading the queue for the player's signature - although Arsenal are also being tipped to make a move.
Juventus stated last month that they would be sitting down with Buffon and others to discuss their long-term futures in the next few weeks.
