William Gallas admits Arsenal's results have been annoying Arsene Wenger.
The Gunners have proven to be inconsistent this season and are yet to become fully attuned to their new Emirates Stadium surroundings.
Wenger has often cut a fiery figure on the touchline and Gallas accepts the players have not been helping the manager's mood.
"Arsene wants to win the Premiership title and seeing the team struggle really annoys him," Gallas is quoted in The Sun.
"We have been dropping points stupidly and it is hard for him to accept.
"Against Portsmouth he lost his temper as a result of a free-kick given against us, where there had not been a foul, which cost us a goal.
"Arsene is a human being after all and it is only natural for him to get carried away.
"That draw has made it tricky for us in our bid for the title. We are struggling to win our matches right now."
Gallas has missed Arsenal's last eight games with a thigh injury, and concedes he is disappointed he will not be fit to play over Christmas.
He added: "I don't think I will be fit to play in our Boxing Day game at Watford.
"I would have loved to play on such a special day, but I don't think I will be able to play again before the start of next year."
