Hearts goalkeeper Craig Gordon will keep the captain's job following a disciplinary hearing.
Gordon met club officials on Tuesday to discuss the fall-out from a media conference held by Steven Pressley in late October.
Paul Hartley and Gordon stood alongside former Hearts captain Pressley as he read a statement revealing 'significant unrest' at the club.
Pressley has since left Tynecastle, while midfielder Hartley attended a disciplinary hearing last week.
Upon leaving Tuesday's hearing, Gordon refused to comment, but the keeper will remain as Jambos skipper.
"Craig is captain of Hearts Football Club and will be playing I am sure at the weekend," said Scottish Professional Footballers' Association secretary Fraser Wishart.
"What was discussed today is absolutely confidential.
"Comparing Steven Pressley with Paul Hartley or Craig Gordon is wrong.
"I cannot go into the situation, it was individual hearings at every opportunity.
"Craig will go on I'm sure and have a long and successful career."
Meanwhile, Hearts owner Vladimir Romanov has decided not to appeal a fine of £10,000 for his recent criticism of referees.
