WEST HAM captain Nigel Reo-Coker received vile racist hate mail before his goal heroics against Manchester United.
Reo-Coker, scorer of the only goal in West Ham's amazing 1-0 victory, has come under fire from fans for his poor form this season and many have blamed him for the team's slide into the bottom three.
And it culminated with disgusting hate mail being sent to the training ground ahead of Sunday's clash with United.
His agent Tony Finnigan confirmed last night:
"It was a bad week. And it wasn't helped by the hate mail in which he was called a n****r and being told 'rot and die because Pardew is not here' maybe added to the stress. "It got to a boiling point for him."
Speculation has linked Reo-Coker with top clubs and Finnigan revealed on Radio Five Live he would be requesting "clear the air" talks with Alan Curbishley, who replaced Alan Pardew as boss last week.
