Manchester United have finally been granted a work permit for China international striker Dong Fangzhou after a three-year wait.
The 21-year-old signed for the Red Devils in 2004 but has been on loan at feeder club Royal Antwerp while United attempted to secure permission for him to play in England.
During his time in Belgium, Dong earned his first call-up to the international side and has gone on to win seven caps.
"Dong has been doing exceptionally well and scoring a lot of goals at Antwerp," United manager Sir Alex Ferguson told MUTV.
"He has great pace and power and the boy has a big chance."
Dong, who signed from Dalian Shide for £3.5million in a record for Chinese football, will head to England on January 1.
