Former Coventry goalkeeper Magnus Hedman is confident of winning a contract with Chelsea after trials this week.
The World Cup star has been training with the Premiership champions for two days and will join as cover for crocked Petr Cech.
Hedman said: "The last thing Jose Mourinho said to me was See you on Tuesday. Im already on the list for training on Tuesday. This is a dream come true. Its kind of crazy when you look up in practice and dont know whether to throw the ball to Didier Drogba, Arjen Robben or Andriy Shevchenko."
Hedman will be third-choice behind Carlo Cudicini and Portuguese Hilario.
No 1 Cech will be out for at least three months after fracturing his skull in a collision with Readings Stephen Hunt last month.
Hedman has been out of football for 18 months since leaving Celtic.
