Pending trips :
July to Grungtheb on hold due to kaki kena NDP, so might push to sept or oct. Which is good because I should be doing my advanced thai by then

Mmh there's bound to be a massive traffic jam at Khao San Road. Normally I would just drop off nearby and take a walk to Khao San. Not advisable to attempt to ask the taxi to enter that area...
Or you can attempt something dumb which I did last time... I took a tuk-tuk and was wet even before I reached Khao San.
Anyway regarding the boat ride, yes the station is Saphan Taksin. -

anyway i'll be going by boat, but the ferry service stops at 5pm. if our trip ends anytime after 5pm, i'll have to start cracking my brains on how to get back!! -

Hi guys,
Regarding the waterguns, no worries about that as it is readily available anywhere. Even on Soi Khao San and the surrounding areas.
Mmh Mo Chit is indeed the furthest station, as it is the last station on the BTS train network.
I think you might want to consider taking a cab from your hotel as the red bus cost about 7baht per person, and you risk missing the stop.
Anyway regarding the Nuk Rean withayalai, most of them are back home during this season and will only be back after their summer break.
Haha feel free to PM me, but I'm more familiar with the ratchada, sukhumvit and siam area.

just some updates from my last trip.
suan lum night bazaar : the ferris wheel lights were off. not sure if the place is getting ready for closure.
suan chatuchak : shops are still there. not closed like some off the reports i've heard. i like the pets section, the puppies are so cute!
chao praya river : took the ferry for the first time. 18 baht, worth it
RCA : as popular as ever. got 4 contacts but all not mine, i just worked as a translator.
next year, songkran at chiang mai!
