There have been topics about cyclist using the footpath, laws against cycling on footpath, death and injuries of cyclist, Motorised bicycle or Personal transporter.
The Bicycle is the oldest form of transportation. The rich and poor use it. It is 1 of the lowest cost of getting around, keeping fit and it is environmentally friendly. However there are complaints from pedestrains and with the new law in place against cyclist on footpath, there's also increased death & injuries of cyclist using the road.
Cyclist on footpath have been fined by the authorities, but authorities have also turn a blind eye when they see teenagers cycling on footpath. It would be safer to have these teenagers on the footpath then on the road. How about when parents bring their kids to school? would you want to see them on the road? The authorities have a law in place, should they ensure it's safe for all cyclist (including children, parents) before implementing it.
I have seen cycle lane on the roads in other countries, so shouldn't the authorities provide the same if they want to implement the rule against cyclist on footpath? If there cycle lanes on the road then personal transporter should also be relaxed thus making it more environmentally friendly.
Rude & inconsiderate cyclist are basically people and their attitude, be it pedestrains, cyclist or motorist. You can't get rid of them or YOURSELF. Same with the bicycles, unless the government get rids of all the bicycles in Singapore.
Let's vote:
1. highly in favor 2. no complaints 3. not recommended.
a) Cyclist on footpath
b) Cyclist on the Road
c) Cyclist on Road with Cycle track
My vote:
a) 2
b) 3
c) 1
a)1
b)3
c)3 (Singapore is already so small, why waste money building cycle tracks only to squeeze up our HDB blocks. They are stupid as they are redundant. Who the hell would cycle every 5 metres and only to have to get off and on just to get to the next part of the track?)
no pt lah....u draw lines on the road for cyclists, motorists will still use that line.. look wad happened to bus lanes... u widen the pedestrian path n draw cyclist path, pedestrians still walk on cyclist path... kena hit, pedestrians will still blame cyclist....
No point actually. Money is better spend elsewhere like using it to clean my buttocks. Draw some lines where cycling is common in those places thats enough. The police have better things to do like watching grass grow instead of all these

LOLOL
It's stupid and lame to tell cyclist to go to the road. Car or motobike are not potentially dangerous to cyclist, but bus who must stick to left lane dangerous.
I suggest all pedestrains to shut up and stop complaining about cyclists down the footpath. and those cyclists to stop speeding, banging to those people who are walking and be more courteous.
auntie/uncle cyclist on the pedestrian pathway with mandatory slowing down at bus stops & no sounding of bells.
serious cyclists on the road. NO using of bus lane during bus lane hours or on full-day bus lane hours. find alternative route at these times.
