people with cheap MTBs!

  any people out there riding on cheap MTBs below the price of $200? care to share your bike stats and whether it's good to ride on?

  erm, such bicycles are meant for transportation. If you want to do serious cycling, u'll need something better. $200 will at most see you at Carrefour buying an aleoca bicycle?
  
  No offence, I always term those bicycles as Bangala Bike
  
  Perhaps an entry model like Giant Yukon or GT Avalanche will last longer, my 2 cents worth.

  I dont think there are any cheap mtbs that are below $200
  
  If you up your budget a bit more you might be able to get something if not , maybe you wanna trawl the marketplace at togoparts --> http://www.togoparts.com/marketplace/list_categories.php
  
  Good deals do pop up
  
  Besides the Haro V2 , you might wanna look at other bikes like Jamis or GT which can be bought if you up your budget a tiny bit more

  got $69 - $139 MTB, brands like Dura, Momoki, Urata, Harris that comes in 18speed with most parts not named.

  Almost bought one from Hup Leong for commuting purpose & tried bargaining with Gilbert but end up tio suan, he said, " Wah lao, you all this type of bicycle also want to bargain? Ur Thomson Stem can already buy this bicycle!!!"
  
  Well come to think of it, almost any part of my bike could have bought a complete $69 bike

  rich also not rich lah, my fren then rich.....My bike chapalang ma, every part from almost every where. I use LX one leh, cannot even afford XT
  
  I go hup leong to only buy koolstop pads & nothing else.

  Wah lan eh , i bought my bike at Hup Leong ley . But now already upgrade till ard $1000 liao , kana chop at the shop near to Hup Leong when they were in tiong bahru charge me $40 for 2 pedals damm it . But so far Hup Leong not bad ma , always service your bike nice nice one , except for the old man whom i find him very blur , sometimes i really doubt his memory cos he once charge me for the small thingy used for pumping air from petrol kiosk to my tyre . Damm it i go other shop then i know he charge me for my own parts . So anyone cycle near west side ? Been thinking of changing to disc brake for sometime but dunno gd anot . And also my bike still at 21 spd .

  honestly disc brakes are pretty much for poser value, an overkill for s'pore & heavy also depending which brand & model u use lah.....i use shimano LX nia
  
  I got all my presta air valve adapter free from LBS. Me on the east side.
