I'm sixteen years old and die die want to complete a round-island Singapore trip before the year closes with a couple of similarly enthu cycling buddies. Why? Next time have grandchildren can brag I cycled round the whole of this island when I was their age.
Any tips from anyone who have done the round-island before?
I know the distance is roughly a 140km with an average timing of 6 hours to complete it or thereabouts.
FYI :
I ride a crappy Haro V4 mtb (used to ride offroad at Track 15, Ubin and Bukit Timah but am now of a road rider now) and though I am keen on road-cycling, I have never pushed myself to go beyond 75km. I have an average speed of 25km/h (yes I know I'm slow but I'm a knobbie wheeler, not a roadie).
Our aim is to attempt the distance without any stops along the way, just continous cycling for six straight hours. Backside pain never mind. We don't know if we can do it for 140km, but we have done it for 75km without dying too much. Hehe I know 75km would be considered short-distance for those roadies lah.
