where in the Book of Revelations is it stated that we will be raptured?Originally posted by popmynutsy:i thought there is? in revelations.
there are many views to revelations.... rapture is just one of them. not all Christians believe in rapture.... or post and pre-tribulation.Originally posted by breytonhartge:Any christian willing to take this up?
really? because when I first became a christian, that is what I was taught. So, how many christians do not believe in the rapture and if they do not believe in the rapture, then what do they believe in??Originally posted by Chin Eng:there are many views to revelations.... rapture is just one of them. not all Christians believe in rapture.... or post and pre-tribulation.
having said that, I'd respectfully NOT post any arguments in Deeper Truth anymore.... we all know where it's going to go.
we were all taught many things when we were growing up. does not necessary mean that everyone teaches the same thing, and neither does it mean that we will continue to hold on to those teachings.Originally posted by breytonhartge:really? because when I first became a christian, that is what I was taught. sigh.... can't help but to agree with these couple of points.....Originally posted by SingaporeTyrannosaur:Are you asking questions you already know the answer to bait responses?
....
That's all I'm gonna say, I am certainly not going to be involved in a potential discussion or argument that has been repeated ad nauseum since the whole idea started, for more information on the views regarding to rapture, please visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rapture, but I think you have already known about all this and it is my opinion are just trying to find people ignorant enough to bait into and take apart in an argument.
I am not trying to bait anyone into an arguement, just want a lively discussion of the pros and cons, but seeing as it is that no on eis interested, then, no point going on from here. I was taught that I would be raptured, but the more I read and understand, it seems we might not be... so there you go.Originally posted by Chin Eng:sigh.... can't help but to agree with these couple of points.....
so far, in Deeper Truth, there is NO such thing as lively discussion of pros and cons, just what you consider to be biblical and what is not. At the end of the day, when Christians attempt to offer their opinions, you'd just challenge it by saying that what you know is the TRUTH, so no way can there be any lively discussion.... just go ask anyone coming here... 'cept for maybe Jaffa...Originally posted by breytonhartge:I am not trying to bait anyone into an arguement, just want a lively discussion of the pros and cons, but seeing as it is that no on eis interested, then, no point going on from here. seriously, why do you think folks typically avoid posting here....? it's not the discussion itself, but the climate of discussion.
my bad.... I was thinking of the Jaffa oranges.... from Israel.... seriously...Originally posted by breytonhartge:you mean Yaffa.
every forum is about putting forward an opinion, I say what I want to say and others may say different, and you know what?Originally posted by Chin Eng:so far, in Deeper Truth, there is NO such thing as lively discussion of pros and cons, just what you consider to be biblical and what is not. it is about Yeshua, and challenging conventional christianity...Originally posted by popmynutsy:i thought deeper truth about christianity? anyway, like what some1 upstair said, not every1 believe in rapture. maybe the raptured 1 will just be protected during the trials and tribulations.
Not every forum is about putting forward an opinion.Originally posted by breytonhartge:every forum is about putting forward an opinion, I say what I want to say and others may say different, and you know what?
I can only share what I know, whether you agree with me or not, then its up to you as to whether it gives you pause to go searching...
Since when did I say I know its llike that because I read the bible more? don't put words in my mouth. Just because I have a very strong opinion about something, does not mean that it is anything more than that...Originally posted by Chin Eng:Not every forum is about putting forward an opinion.
"I think it's like that..." is an opinion
"I know it's like that because I read the Bible more, and I know I am right..." is not an opinion.
Let's just say that many people's opinion of Deeper Truth can be summarised by what T-rex has said..... and we all know that T-rex do not post much.
no problem, just don't ask for other opinions when at the end of the day, the result is still the same - your forum your strong opinions prevail.Originally posted by breytonhartge:CE, I don't want to argue with you any more... bye.
No offense taken, though it wouldn't be a bad thing if I owned the orchards of Jaffa oranges!!Originally posted by Chin Eng:my bad.... I was thinking of the Jaffa oranges.... from Israel.... seriously...
I was always of the impression that this forum was to delve deeper into the Word regardless of popular Christian opinion. There are many of us out there who have gone down the whole Christian route, found out that some biblical truths are lacking, distorted or misunderstood by the church and have progressed further.Originally posted by Chin Eng:so far, in Deeper Truth, there is NO such thing as lively discussion of pros and cons, just what you consider to be biblical and what is not.
