Once again, the Great Commission is to bring the gospel to the world. Why are you talking about success rate? actually no, the Great Commission is not just bring the gospel to the world, but to make disciples of all nations, this the church has failed to do. That is why the church is in the state that it is in today. Both sides have failed big time lah. None has managed to bring the gospel to the world AND make disciples of all nations.

1. The Great Commission was given.
2. Those who knows isn't fulfilling it, for various reasons, some of which are crappy excuses at best. Of course there now claims that the Jewish people go around making disciples, which at the point of time may not include the Gentiles.
3. Those who attempted to fulfilled it are accused of kowtowing to the Romans.
4. In the meantime, varous accusations of corruption and deviation are hurled, inspite of the fact that the true bringer of good news are Gentile preachers.
5. Suddenly after about maybe 1900 over years, those who are suppose to be doing the job realised that they have do something about it, and accuse those who actually do the leg work that they are doing it wrong.
6. And in the meantime, there are still the large percentage of Jews who do not acknowledge Jesus as the Messiah.
I think "work faster" covers it all, seeing that there are about 2000 years of damage to clean up. All the best to your cleaning crew -

Funny... I'd thought that in the eyes of a true Jew, Messianic Jews are bunch of backsliders.... or maybe deviants...
So what does a Jew (those still waiting for the Messiah) view the Messianic Jews?
For a Jew to fulfil the Great Commission he has to believe in Christ. So when you say that there have always been Jews making disciples... they are disciples of whom? -
