I recommand Ikoma school. www.ikoma.com . It's at shaw towers (lido) , there is where I learned my japanese.

sOo he told my mum ask mie go learn jap n some skills den can migrate to dere n stay with em ma..

Well,It is easier to learn it there although it does help to have some basic knowledge first. My friend - A is doing JLPT in singapore and a classmate- B was in Japan for 2 years studying the language which is better as everywhere around you ,everyone is speaking the language so you tend to improve faster. i suggest go to nearby CC to learn basic japanese 1st...as is normally < $100
then if want higher level, then go for school types.
Can also pick up faster at higher level with basic from CC -

Why not go Japanese Association Singapore & take up their courses there? Its much better than elsewhere.

Its better than some language schools that advertise alot. Just sharing from my personal experience. Anyway Japanese language is not that easy even if you learn it & stay a couple of years in Japan, you can't be the same as the local there. What you pay is what you get. If you pay peanuts you get monkeys. End of the day depend on what is more suitable for you, you make your own decision anyway. Thanks again.

i pick it up from class elsewhere and still ok..
spend little $$ does not mean teacher lousy and/or learner pick up slower -
Just go Nippon and pick it up there.

JAS is $260 monthly for 4 weekly lessons i think. i dun have time to learn though, just doing my own learning.
finish the hira+kata, then have to memorise vocab and kanji liao, which is the sian part. and fyi, in schools they actually only teach hira in yr 1, kata in yr 2. -
I'm also learning japanese, but at my local CC~ My japanese teacher is a qualified teacher by the japanese language society~ He's teaching quite well~ and he does he's own additional notes using MS Words/ppt apart from the txtbks.
Btw, if u're gg to Japan... I remember my teacher saying... "They can never treat u like a japanese", becoz u can nver speak like them unless u live there for many many yrs. -
and u become an alien in a foreign land there. no joke.
if u ever want to be neutralised there, it'll take u ur life...... -
