Do-Do Balls

  I can't find these in our supermarkets now. Are these still available? The fish balls have the best "tang seng" of all the frozen balls available here. My friends said it's because of a certain chemical which may now be banned.

  Actually hmm if you see fishballs produced by Thong Siek they're quite good too.

  I found some here. Not in the Chinese supermarket but in the Filipino market of all places.

  The best pork balls for me is from Mannarich, locally produced. Their fish paste is also good and so is their Cantonese dumplings (sui gao).

  chicken and mushroom balls too.
  
  actually beef balls are not so nice.
  
  better to buy it from hawkers selling beef noodles or mutton soup. they serve better quality.

  long time ago, my best friend took me to high street. she said it's the best beef balls noodles. erm, this is like late 70s or very early 80s.
  
  but i like bak chor mee my dad was a hawker selling bak chor mee in bedok. da best. got t-pia and orh chai.

  I like Fuzhou fish balls... those with pork inside. But I hardly see it nowadays.
