  My friend wants it back? She's another exile in Wales. She made a trip back and bought all that stuff for me as a surprise. She was going to mail it to me when we heard of another friend's hubby coming over here for training. So, voila!

  I like mine with lots of blood cockles, chunks of sliced fish-cakes and smooth, beaten egg....Oh, it also tastes nicer with cut chives which you can fry with the noodles. I made a batch last week for some friends. Used the thin kway teow noodles (its smoother than the wide variety) and freshly grounded dried cilipadi-paste. I was transported to char kway teow heaven. Mmmmmm.....

  Yup, i used own recipe. Here it is, based on 2 pax serving. Enjoy
  
  
  Ingredients:
  1/2 tsp chopped garlic & chopped shallots
  1 tsp ground chilipadi paste (can use the normal cilip paste but i prefer cilipaidi cos its HOT)
  c-o-c-k-l-e-s / fishcake(on pref)
  1 egg
  1 tbsp oyster sauce ,1 tbsp dark sauce, 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  Chives , cut roughly
  2 bunches of Kway Teow (fresh)
  
  ____
  Heat about 5 tbsp oil, then when oil is very hot, add garlic, shallots, cilipaste.
  
  Make sure the chili is really cooked, before putting in the fishcake, chives, noodles. Stir.
  
  Add the oyster, dark, light sauces. Stir, taste and adjust.
  
  Lastly, add the egg to the mix.
