  i was wondering wat is the point of having situp in nafa/ippt test since there seems to have no beneficial gains of this exercise

  You go ask SAF,not here.
  
  Anyway,this station is the easiest to get 5 points.You just need to "negotiate" with your partner holding your feet.

  still very simple
  40 situps finish in about 40 seconds then stop liao. No need do extra cuz 40 is already 5 pts for CAT X
