First thing, you do not know my initial one before this "more normal" pressure, so do not assume. It was 150.Originally posted by galapogos:127 is perfectly normal. Mine's 130+ and it's still normal. No need to get your panties in a bunch.
And similarly, you don't know my highest BP either. I shot up to 160+ before, but this isn't a BP competition so let's not lose the point.Originally posted by eagle:First thing, you do not know my initial one before this "more normal" pressure, so do not assume. It was 150.
2nd thing, 130+ is a precursor to possible high blood pressure when you get older because you are still very young. It is very near to the cut off of 140. I've lost the website, so I cannot give you the proof right now.
3rd thing, my pressure before was <120, so the difference is a rather huge one.
4th thing, watch your language.
Hmmm... I agree with you I should have stated the original pressureOriginally posted by OPT:You should have stated you pressure to start off with.
It has been shown that strength training is far better for lowering resting BP than aerobics.
If you do have a rise in resting BP the look for the cause - there could be many but the increase is strength training would not be one of them unless you were over training.
