Then you do not understand the main purpose of using creatine.Originally posted by eagle:seriously, it is possible to reach more than a few of the people's strength here without any protein powder supplementation at all.
I also feel that supplementation with creatine monohydrate is also something unnatural. It is true that u take in creatine when u eat meat, but that amount is so small. Supplementing creatine gives more "pump" to your muscles, but when you stop supplementing, the pump goes off => this is to me something unnatural; you stop taking a product, effect wears off.
I don't touch fast food or oily food at all, unless when bought by family for meals (which I really don't like)Originally posted by Simon Dean:I still think its better than eating most junk food that people are eating

Your MO...does he even exercise?
hmm i m trying to dig out info from my doc, will post later after i get enough info fro my doc, basically wad the doc said is drinking too much protein shakes will release toxins n its harmful to yr body on the long run, he suggested taking anti oxidant supplements n mentioned some e.g, i will ask the doc again.Originally posted by OPT:Well I am trained as a biochemist so does that count?
Beside this so called doctor - where was his nutritional training from? Med school? Well they still teach the food pyramid there - besides that very little time is given to nutrition.
I have also been trained in the area of nutrition under Dr. Kelly as well as some other well known experts in the field of nutrition.
That's not a lot I agree.Originally posted by Marco_Simone:I dont think I will die so fast coz I only take 1 protein shake per day...
again he is talking crap - what is the so called toxin? maybe an artificial sweetener but not all have this ingredient.Originally posted by borntolive:hmm i m trying to dig out info from my doc, will post later after i get enough info fro my doc, basically wad the doc said is drinking too much protein shakes will release toxins n its harmful to yr body on the long run, he suggested taking anti oxidant supplements n mentioned some e.g, i will ask the doc again.
The doctor is talking about protein shakes n not protein itself so dont be misunderstood.
those MOs who mention this, they do exercise but they are mostly runners, dono if they are anti-supplement or wad la, i will ask then more regarding this issue n see if i can post their replies hereOriginally posted by Marco_Simone:Hey,I have opened it again hor.
Your MO...does he even exercise?
that is fine according to my MO, my MO is actually refering to my habit, cause he sees me drinking protein shakes, i in army camp n i often stay in , u think can bring chicken, eggs, fish etc? the only stuff i bring in is tuna in water, protein shakes, milk, bulla cottage cheese thats allOriginally posted by Marco_Simone:I dont think I will die so fast coz I only take 1 protein shake per day...

I suppose it's either your doctor is trying to sell you health supplements or you might have taken what he said out of context?Originally posted by borntolive:hmm i m trying to dig out info from my doc, will post later after i get enough info fro my doc, basically wad the doc said is drinking too much protein shakes will release toxins n its harmful to yr body on the long run, he suggested taking anti oxidant supplements n mentioned some e.g, i will ask the doc again.

Again this was not directed to you but the general.Just take a look around you.Originally posted by eagle:So it is just a belief of yours that you say people are eating most junk food.
