a blog entry by Coach Jonathan Wong:
Want to get your 10,000 steps?
10,000 steps per day is what is considered “active”. Get a pedometer. Most people in sedentary jobs take maybe 1000. Terrible. When the body is inactive lots of stuff shuts down. Metabolism, hormones, digestion EVERYTHING goes bonkers.
Today I went to pickup cargo for my new gym at the port warehouse. ItÂ’s the rather massive (and this picture is only 1/2 of it or less) building below. Thousands of trucks and forklifts, rushing all over . And here I was trying to find and pay for my 3 boxes of gym ballsÂ…
Fortunately one of my close friends is the no.2 man in charge of the entire warehouse operation. So he saved me at least an hour of searching and waiting
He is also a guy who is not likely to get fat! He inspects the operations going on here and that means walking and that means LOTS of walking. You wonÂ’t be getting ripped with bulging veins and muscles but you will keep your systems in working order.

so even if we do weight training, but remain sedentary for the rest of the day, that still may not be enough to cut fats?
will a daily morning walk help to elevate metabolism and therefore promote more rapid fat loss?
