There are sites which stated that once a week because deadlifts are CNS intensive.Some even say fornightly..
So is 2x a week lets say 3x5 1 workout and 3x8 another workout reasonable?
Or
should the 1x a week thing for deadlift to be taken seriously?

Depends on the individual as well, his training age, how well he recovers, and of course the intensity and volume of the actual training. As your training age increases you tend to have to do less.

2x a week is fairly reasonable for me.
just dont compromise recovery for results and you should be fine.
