If it hurts alot from simply straightening out your arms, it sounds like you might have overtrained a bit. I experienced that too, before - rest a bit more and you should be fine, I think.Originally posted by newcomer:i'm feeling quite a bit of pain coming from the biceps due to last wednesday workout in the gym. well actually i'm only starting out. do i wait till the strain is gone before going to the gym? how do i get rid of the awful strain? thanks.

Were you doing the negative* part of exercises in a controlled fashion that day?It could be one of the reasons.
Remember that it is the quality of the reps that counts not the quantity.
*Negative or eccentric for e.g in bicep curls is the part where you lower the weight down.It HELPS btw.
That was not what i meantOriginally posted by newcomer:i didn't swing the weights up and down to gain momentum if that's wat u mean.
Ayam brand canned tuna for supper? Saw lots of army guys do it... But I'm just not sure about the nutritional value of such canned food...Originally posted by newcomer:i didn't swing the weights up and down to gain momentum if that's wat u mean.
