They are too damn lazy to do a full rep and probably use that as an excuse to bite off more that what they can chew.
Its certainly more impressive 1/2 rep 1.5 plates a side for reps than 1 plate a side for full reps..

No. If you lack the flexibility/mobility to do full ROM lifts, don't let the weights force you into that end range.

so that's to say, do the MAXIMUM range of motion you can manage with manageable poundage?
