Firstly, how do you exactly lose your stamina with weight-training?Because i have seen a marathon runner and a champion triathelte train at at my gym.The latter can even lift more than me!
You can try 30-40m sprints for sets and interval training for cardio.
Type "optimumperformance" in youtube for examples of interval training.
Most people including myself underestimate intervals until i tried it out myself.I nearly puked!
I just did one today...
a few sets.. 10 pushups or 8 dips 10 Inclined pullups or 5 pullups 10 burpees 10 squats 30 jumping jacks
1-1.5 min rest inbetween.
Weight-lifting can give you a cardiovascular workout as well.Dont believe go try sets of "dumbbell snatches"(Google images) and 12-15 rep barbell squats.

oh i heard intervals were super effective..
but juz wondering,if i weight-train as per normal, but run 4-5km maybe 3-4 times a wk,will it affect my mass gaining? or do u suggest doing intervals ONLY while i weight train?
Simon Dean
Just match your calorie expenditure lor..

do. pull up, push up, sit up, sprinting, continue for 6-10 sets w/o any rest and delay.

what is the rest of your training like? You go to the gym I gather - post your program.

actually i dun go to the gym yet,i'd prob do so when my school starts, cuz i get to use the gym there free.
as for now,i have dumbbells at home,so i'm able to do some simple delts and arms workouts. For chest n back i'll do push ups and chins since i dun think they are quite ready to take on weights yet.
so i guess i'll juz eat more now that im also incorporating 3-4km runs 3 times per wk.
sounds ok?

no legs?
I hope you dont tell me jogging for legs.I might as well say i clean the floor for my forearms

Try complexes for your cardio

oh missed out the legs, but its juz simple stuff.
plain old squats without weights and lunges, occasional sprints and i play bball too..
i really need serious meat on my shoulders, because my collar bone is protruding alot making my shoulders and back very narrow,i may even be able to fit into girl's clothes.

While you're waiting for the school gym, you can up the intensity of your leg workouts a notch by performing bodyweight split squats and pistols.
